DAME Helen Mirren has been reunited with her ex-boyfriend Liam Neeson on telly – more than 30 years after their relationship came to an end.
The Hollywood greats sat alongside each other while filming an episode of The Graham Norton Show, which is due to air on Friday night.
Wearing a beautiful white dress, 72-year-old Helen was all smiles as she and Liam, 65, discussed their romance, which spanned from 1980 to 1985.
Graham is first to point out that she once "dated" Liam, but Helen replies: "We didn't date, we lived together for four years – we were a serious item for a while. Lucky me!"
Liam then opens up about the sweet, yet bizarre, way he discovered she had fallen for him.
He tells Graham: "Before I met her and we worked together, I had read somewhere that if she fancied a guy she would imitate his walk behind his back.
"I turned around one day and she was doing that to me."
But Helen had caught Liam's eye long before.
Recounting the first time he set eyes on her, while filming the movie Excalibur, Liam said: "I remember being on the set and standing with Ciaran Hinds as Helen walked towards us dressed in her full Morgana Le Fey costume.
"We both went, 'Oh, f***' and I was smitten."
He added: "I think Ciaran was too but I was very smitten!"
Delighting the studio audience, Helen then admitted that the sweet story was new to her.
She told Liam: "I never knew that. You've never told me that before – it's amazing."
Helen and Liam filmed their appearances on The Graham Norton Show to promote their new movies.
While Helen is set to hit the big screen in supernatural thriller Winchester, Liam is starring in the new drama mystery The Commuter.
Helen has spoken about her relationship with the Taken star before, admitting in a previous interview: "We loved each other. It was difficult to let go."
She has been married to director Taylor Hackford since 1997.
Liam, meanwhile, met his wife Natasha Richardson in 1993 and they married the following year.
The couple went on to have three children together but, tragically, Natasha passed away in 2009 after suffering a serious head injury in a freak skiing accident.
Liam and Helen also appear alongside Fifty Shades star Jamie Dornan and singer songwriter Sigrid on The Graham Norton Show, which airs at 10.35pm on Friday January 19, 2017 on BBC One.
